This special recording was produced in the autumn of 2018 as Samhain's sonic offering. Limited to 3 physical tapes, and handed out to club friends at local gothic venues. There are lyrics, but actual distinct content is blended with intelligible vocals so is left to the imagination.

Recording took place in a weathered barn on a country property where Feywer was staying for a few years using budget equipment and a simple 4-track recorder. They were performed live at the now-defunct Saltea Cafe in Orland, CA on 22nd February, 2019.
These demonstration tracks would be the basis for the official and first-released "Mercury's Butterfly" album just months later.

"Captive" was re-recorded as "Snow", and "Roses" as "Rosaries" on the equally-obscure four-track 'Gossamer' demo with Frankie on vocals. "The Party" has been featured in a few internet gothic mix-compilations.

Feywer's trademark deep mournful voice makes this recording a part of the waver's underground. Lyrics deal with personal emotional problems as well as societal, economic and political issues. The hopelessness is reflected in the style of recording.
